Twisted Future, Ch 12

Scene takes place in the training room with Font and Carl, with Lillani and Penelope watching.

"Carl... in basic training," Fonty said. "there is a point when the drill sergeant attempts to "break" his or her soldiers so that they may overcome their civilian mindset and focus on the responsibility and selflessness of becoming a true soldier."

"Uh, bro. I went through basic ages ago! True soldier, standing right here!" Carl reminded him.

"What's the UNSC motto?" Font asked.

"When in doubt, rub one out." Carl respond.

"I am going to break you... Private Carl." Fonty said.

"Ooh, I'm shaking in my armor." Carl said, pretending to be in fear.

"Inside this tunnel is an elaborate obstacle course designed to test both your reflexes and your mettle." Fonty explained, pointing at a tunnel.

"Uhh... like... copper?" Carl asked.

"No, that's metal. I said "mettle"." Fonty corrected.

"Whatever." Carl respond.

"On your mark... get set..." Font slowly said.

"This is such bull.." Carl groaned. Fonty shoots Carl's leg. "...CRAP! OW! OKAY! I'M GOING!"

Carl races through the obstacle course. First, he attempts to shoot down two cones positioned on the side.

"Stupid fricking cones!" Carl yelled.

After destroying an obstacle with his Energy Sword, he lands on a group of mines.

"Jeepers Cripes!"

He runs through area where shooting literally comes outta nowhere.

"Oh come on! Where is this coming from?!" Carl asked. Then something emerges, somehow, in a soldier charging scene, running with them.

"Who are these people!?!" Carl asked.

Then somehow the scene changes to what looked like a military arcade game scene, much to Carl's frustrating confusion.

"WHAT THE FRICK IS GOING ON!?!" Carly yelled.

The scene turns back to normal and Carl finally emerges from the obstacle course.

"Congratulations, Private." Fonty said with a smirk. "That time was... adequate... for a beginner."

Carl was exhausted as he came up saying, "What was... I don't..."

"Just an adrenaline rush Carl. It'll wear off." Fonty explained.

"I'm..." Carl panted.

Fonty grinned and asked, "Shaking in your armor?"

Carl glared while the girls snickered

In his guest room, Mal was pondering something. He was also thinking about Erin's different behavior.

'Until I figure out why isn't acting like she usually is.' Mal thought. 'Time for a little tricks up my sleeve to get to my sweet Selene...' he snickered as he walks up the door shadowing the scene.

"So Mal, you want to be alone with Selene. Why?" Twisted Laminetta asked as she made a sculpture out of paint with her brush.

Mal walked over to Erin looking at the sculpture

"What is that?" Mal asked.

"Oh something from a dream." Erin said. She was sculpting a frozen heart with dark crystal similar to King Sombra's.

Mal was surprised what she said. Dreams? Last time he heard from her, she hasn't had any dreams in years.

"I thought you didn't had any," Mal asked.

"I thought so. I mean ask Princess Luna."

"Oh I would, but she's... in the moon dust." Mal said laughing.

Erin laughs a little, heartily, "Yeah, funny huh?" Erin then asked as she dips more paint. "Answer my question, why Selene?"

Mal had to come up with an excuse. Something to... stretch the truth.

"Well the two of us haven't been around each other in a long while." Mal started.

"And?" Erin asked.

"I figure we need to..." Mal spoke. "Bond."

Erin turned to him while painting a crystal. "Like brother and sister?"

Smiling, he nodded, "Yes! Yes, that."

"Oh, well why didn't you say so?" Erin asked.

Mal dully glared at his partner.

"Well, I may have told you I was abusive to her, but did I ever tell you I was... compassionate, affectionate, and comforting to her when she was sad, lonely, and scared."

While listening, Erin froze at what he said. Before he knew it, Erin was laughing hysterically. He gave her a look. The workers and the servants stared at her oddly. She continues to laugh hysterically. Mal then looks up annoyed.

'I forgotten how annoying she was.' Mal thought.

Erin got up, holding a hanky wiping her eyes.

"Oh!" Erin called. She cleared her throat, still bit laughing. "That's priceless."

"Is that really hard to believe?" asked Mal.

Erin nodded, "Yes." She tries holding her laughter.

"Well remember me and her did live together for awhile." Mal said

Grabbing the crystal and continue painting, she said, "I know. I just didn't you were a... (snicker) softy."

Mal glared at her as his fire coming out. Erin stops painting and gulps.

"Okay, okay, okay!" Erin called, calming down.

Mal took some breaths calming down.

"Okay, okay, I'll go get Selene." Erin said, walking off after putting a crystal on the heart. She grabs another and paints it while leaving.

With Selene she had finished her chores. She was partly tired from getting up early. She then sat on a chair, taking her apron off.

"Selene!" Erin called.

"I'm coming." Selene said going to see Erin.

Selene saw Erin at the door. Erin motions her to follow her with the paintbrush in her hand. Selene follows her, seeing her painting a crystal.

"Whatcha... doin'?" Selene asked.

Erin smiled, "Haven't heard that in a long time. Just painting something from a dream."

Selene nodded looking at the painting. What confused Selene was that Erin HAD a dream. She remembers Erin hasn't had a dream in years after the accident. Once they went to Mal, Erin puts the crystal on the sculpture. Selene saw Mal a little worried.

"One quick thing: your not in trouble." Erin said.

Selene nodded.

"Mal said he wants to (snickers) bond with you." Erin couldn't help but laugh again.

Selene froze looking at Mal. Mal smirked at Selene but got annoyed at Erin. Erin noticed and cleared her throat.

"Pardon me." Erin said, painting her sculpture again.

"You don't mind if I groom her up a bit and use King Mickey's old bedroom, would you?" Mal asked, pulling Selene into a hug.

Selene froze at that.

"I don't see why waste that time. You two are just talking right?" Erin asked, doing the finishing touches. "Brother to sister talk?"

Mal looked at Erin, "Of course, it is. I just need her nice and a private place." Mal lied.

"Ugh, fine." Erin sighed.

Mal smirked, dragging Selene. Selene shook in fear looking at Mal

"What are you going to do?" Selene asked.

"You'll see." Mal said, dragging her into Mickey's room.

He opens the door and drags her inside. He let's her go and pushed her inside. Selene looked around. Mal tosses her something before leaving and closing the door. He stood outside waiting for Selene. Selene looked what it was: it was Unlovley's outfit. Selene shook but she had no choice.

Minutes later, Mal opens the door and saw Selene as Unlovley. Smirking, he toss his hat and cape away. He then remove his sharp armor on him. Selene looked at Mal scared. He went to her with a grin of a monster. He then snatches her arm. Selene shook in fear. He pulls her close to him. Selene looked at him shaking. Mal put his hand on her cheek, rubbing her chin with his thumb. He held her hand up, kissing it. Selene looked at Mal this felt wrong and uncomfortable.

He push her chin up, asking, "Something wrong?"

"This doesn't feel right." Selene said.

"Nothing's right anymore." Mal said, "This is today. And everybody loses, but you. You will all that I have, my sweet little Selene."

Selene moved back falling onto the bed. Mal grabbed her wrists, pinning her down. Selene looked up at Mal scared. Mal puts his hand on her cheek. He races his hand to her collar, pushing a button. It stunned Selene paralyzing and shocking her. He covered her mouth in case she screamed. Selene screamed a little muffled. It stops making her half conscious and paralyzed. She breathed hard looking at Mal. Mal then layed next beside her after taking his shirt and gloves off. He then stroke her face, toying with her hair. Selene was breathing hard scared, a small tear falling.

"When I complete my plans, you and I will be together. Just like the old times." Mal said, petting her.

"But..." Selene spoke.

Mal puts his finger on her lips, shushing her.

'What does he mean by complete my plans?' Selene thought.

Mal kissed her cheek, smelling her hair. He then let's her hair loose.

"Please don't..." Selene started

Mal shushed her once again. He pulls her into a hug.

"I promise I'll make it quick." Mal whispered in her ear.

Selene was breathing hard.

With Michael/Mike, he gaped as lighting strike in the background. He sensed something terrible. Zoey noticed him.

"Mike?" Zoey asked.

"No... no..." Michael spoke. "SELENE!"

Hearing Mike's voice, Selene eye widens. More tears appear as Mal push her collar down to reveal her shoulders.

'Big brother...' Selene thought.

Michael reaches a communicator and called somebody. He had to be quick. Seconds later, Cameron ran down the hall to look for Selene.

"Selene!" Cameron called.

He passed by Erin.

"Erin, where's Selene?" Cameron asked.

Erin who was deep thinking, didn't answer.

"Erin!" Cameron called.

"Hmm? What?" Erin asked.

"Where's Selene?" Cameron asked.

"With Mal in King Mickey's room."

"What?! Why?"

"He wanted to be alone with her to bond."

Cameron gasped running pass Erin who looked confused. Erin scratches her head in ponder. She then sensed something horrible as the white glow got bigger. She cringed and went to her knees. Cameron goes to find King Mickey's room. Cameron looked seeing the room.

Inside with Mal and Selene,

"Please Mal don't. I don't wanna...." Selene begged scared.

Mal shushed her again rubbing her cheeks. He starts kissing her cheeks, neck, and shoulders. Selene held in her gasps, making more tears. Mal rubs her leg gently before trying to reach for her skirt. Cameron knocks the door down, cutting Mal off. He and Selene look up and saw Cameron.

"SELENE!" Cameron gasped.

'Cam...' Selene thought scared.

"Get away from her!" Cameron yelled.

Mal used his fire power on Cameron. Selene gasped in horror. Cameron turns on his belt which a force field was created.

"Cam...." Selene said scared.

When the fire died, Cameron was unharm.

"Let her go I'll report to Erin!" Cameron yelled.

Mal glared Cam as he pulls Selene close to him. Cameron glared at him.

"What in name of thinner is going on in there?!" Erin called off-screen. She then clinged at her heart again.

Mal glared but he didn't have a choice. He quickly button Selene's jacket on, grabbed his shirt, armor, hat, and cape to put them back on, and he sat in a chair, sitting next to Selene's bed. Erin walked in, still clinging her heart. Cameron noticed as Erin falls but he grabs her. She return to normal, pushing Cameron a bit.

"Cameron! Mal! Selene!" Erin yelled. "Stop that infernal racket and stop turning up the heat!"

Selene was scared as Erin walks in.

"DO you know what happens when someone turns up the heat here?!" Erin yelled. "My paint and thinner will set a fire or worse then that! I thought you said you too were bonding!"

"Erin, Mal did something awful to-" Cameron got cut when Mal used his power to zip his lips."

Cameron noticed and try to open his mouth.

"Cameron" Selene trying to help him.

Erin walk pass Selene saying, "Well, Mal, I see you rather have Selene cosplay then talking. This is not cosplay day! And you wasted time doing that! Do you think I have other things to do then this crap!!!"

Mal looked at Erin.

"Do you think I know that?" Mal asked.

Erin, annoyed, grabs a fireplace stick and tosses it at the window, breaking it. Selene held on to Cameron scared.

"Do something useful instead of playing Selene?!" Erin yelled.

Mal glared at Erin, "Are you being disrespectful to your own partner?"

"Well I'm sorry, I'm frustrated!" Erin yelled.

Erin looked over seeing Selene shaking scared.

"Selene?" Erin asked.

Selene was shaking holding on to Cameron crying.

Suspicious, she turns to Mal. "What did you do to her?"

Mal smirked, "Just bonding that's all. I mean what did you think we were doing?"

"You think you two were..." Erin gasped in realization as the white glow got a bit bigger. She turns to Mal in real horror. "Oh you son of a spit!"

Selene looked at Erin shaking.

"What do you care?" Mal asked, walking pass Erin to Selene. Cameron hugged her defense. He was about to pet her head. "I thought you said I could do what I want with her. And we're both evil aren't we?"

Suddenly, Erin grabbed his wrist fast and hard.

"No!"

Selene looked at Erin. She saw her, the Erin that was her friend, the Erin she had idolized.

"What?!" Mal asked.

"We maybe evil but I would not go so far doing harm to a child!" Erin yelled. She pushed him knocking him into a table. "And as for Selene's punishment, she stays in her room with Cameron!"

Cam took Selene away shielding her the best he could. Mal glared at Erin for ruining his chance with her.

"As in for you!" Erin asked. "Be lucky I don't have time with you! I have real duties to attend to, PARTNER!"

As Erin leaves, Mal got up glaring at her.

"You want me to be the bad guy?" Mal asked silently. "Fine! I AM the bad guy!"

In Selene's room she was crying on Cameron. Cameron comforted her.

"Selene, calm down. I'm here." Cameron softly told her.

"He was...he was gonna...." Selene said crying.

"Hey, hey, hey, shhh. I stop him, deep breath calm down." Cameron said. He then smiled and said, "Mike sensed you were in danger an warn me."

"Really...?" asked Selene in hope.

"Yes, he's desparate to save you." Cameron said.

"I miss him..." Selene said

Cameron hugs her saying, "I know." He then noticed something. "Has Erin acted... different?"

"Now that you mention it she had dream last night." Selene said.

"Dream?" Cameron asked.

"Yeah and remember she hasn't had an since the accident." Selene said.

"Yeah." Cameron nodded.

That's when the two heard Erin talking outside.

"Is this what Darkra was telling me about?" Erin asked. "Was I... being evil for the wrong reasons?"

Erin looked in at the two seeing Selene still crying.

"Selene?" Erin asked.

Selene looked up at Erin crying.

"How could I let Mal be alone with you?" Erin asked. She then realized she was... different. The white glow glowed making her clinged.

"Miss Erin!" Selene said going to her friend

'See? This is what I mean.' Darkra whispered.

Erin keeps cringing until she screams in agony.

"Miss Erin..." Selene asked.

Erin falls over passing out.

"Miss Erin!" Selene said as Cam went to her checking her.

"She's stressed out she passed out."

Selene helped Erin on to her bed. Selene stroke Erin sadly.

"I'll go get her something." Selene said.

Cameron nodded as Selene left. Selene walked to the kitchen. As she was making something, she saw Mal. She quickly ducks down. She saw him gather a few poisons and a few kitchen appliances. Selene watched.him from hiding.

"This will show Erin not to mess with me." Mal said. "I may like her as a partner, but she's in between me and Selene. I don't care for that girl, but I need her to make Selene... mine, all mine!" Mal laughs evilly.

Selene shook in fear. He walks away as Selene got up.

"What is he planning?" asked Selene.

Mal walks out of the room. Selene got something for Erin.

Back in her room Erin opened her eyes alittle seeing Cameron.

"Cameron?" Erin asked.

Cameron looked seeing Erin awake.

"What happen?" Erin asked.

"You passed out." Selene said bringing some soup.

"Oh." Erin said taking the soup and eating it herself.

"How are you feeling?" Cam asked as Erin looked up at them.

"Different..." Erin said. She cringes at her heart again.

Selene touched Erin's hand like she use to. Erin was touched by this. Selene smiled softly. Cameron watched with a smile too. Selene noticed something.

"Miss Erin your eyes...." Selene said

Erin rubs her eyes.

"They have their sparkle back." Selene said.

Cameron look to see sparkles in Erin's yellow eyes. Erin was confused as she wipes her eyes. They looked at Erin who got up.

"I have to go." Erin said.

"Miss Erin." Selene said

All Erin did was raised her hand to stop her. Erin continues to walk off. Selene looked down as Cam took out his comlink.

"Mike, I save Selene." Cameron spoke.

"Oh thank gosh!" Mike sighed.

Selene gasped hearing her brother's voice for the first time in years.

"Big brother!" Selene exclaimed.

"Selene?" Mike asked.

"Can I?" Selene asked Cam.

With a warm smile, Cameron gave her his comlink.

"Big brother..." Selene said crying alittle.

"Selene... Oh Selene..." Mike said, sounding like he's crying as well.

Selene was drying her eyes trying to act like Raven.

"I always seen your face... but... but... hearing your voice after so many years." Mike said. "I... I... feel we're so close."

"Yeah." Selene said crying.

Selene hugs the comlink. Now we see see-through images of them actually hugging. Cameron smiles sadly at this.

"I miss you so much." Selene said.

"Me too." Mike respond. "I wish we could talk forever."

Selene nodded and spoke telling Mike about Erin.

"Miss Erin's different." Selene said. "She's been switching back to her normal self."

"Really?" Mike asked.

"Yeah." Selene said.

Mike was silent because he was pondering.

"Big brother." Selene said "I think Mal is planning something."

"Oh no, what?" Mike asked.

Selene relayed Mike the information she had seen and heard. Mike was curious as he said to himself, "I wonder if that's what SG was saying. Selene, keep a hold of this comlink and I'll try calling back."

"Ok." Selene said.

Mike hung up and Selene puts it in her skirt pocket. Selene hugged Cam who hugged back.

With Erin, she saw Mal putting stuff in his suitcase.

"What are you doing?" Erin asked.

Mal quickly closes it and said, "Oh I was uh... packing my things."

Erin just rolled her eyes in disbelief. Mal then checks to see if he's missing something. He then realized something.

"Wait, wait." Mal asked. "Where is it?"

"Where's what?" Erin asked.

"The talisman." Mal respond.

"Mike's talisman? I gave it to you rememeber?"

"Well obiviously I DON'T have IT!"

Erin looked at him.

"Look you maybe misplace it." Erin said.

Mal went to her face and yelled, "I never misplace anything! The only person who does that is Sel-" He then realized something. "Where is she?!"

"I locked her and Cameron into her room as punishment, remember?"

Mal scoots her aside in a cartoon matter. Confused and worried, Erin follows after him.

With Selene, she had fallen asleep to take a nap. Cameron was watching over her. Mal was at the door trying to open it. Erin walks up to him smirking.

"Where's the key?!" Mal yelled.

"I ate it... descretely." Erin goofily said.

Cam heard that even Erin's joke. He smirked hearing Erin outside. Mal growls in anger making Erin cringe. Mal kicks the door down making Cameron gasped. Selene laid on the bed trying to sleep as Cam went infront of her to protect her.

"Get up!" Mal yelled.

"Mal, she's sleeping." Erin said.

"I don't care wake her up!" Mal yelled.

Frustrated, Erin covered his mouth shushing him. Selene held her pillow.

"Raven...Artemis...Dove...Hime..." Selene said in her sleep sounding lonely.

Mal grabbed Erin's wrist and held her up.

"She has it!" Mal yelled.

"Has what?" Cameron asked.

"The talisman!" Mal yelled.

Came froze thinking. He looks at Selene still sleeping. Mal drops Erin and said, "If I don't have an answer, I'll do it myself!"

Mal went up to Cameron and Selene. Cameron protected her still, glaring at Mal. Mal, smirking, stroke Selene's face and hair.

"Big brother I wanna sleep longer..." Selene muttered.

Mal snickered at this speaking in Mike's voice to taunt her. "Oh alright, Selene."

"Mal!" Erin whispered/scold.

Cam growled and looked at Selene waking up. Selene stretches waking up, "Big brother, is that-" She then saw Mal not very happy as Erin got up. Selene tried to back away. Cameron protected her from Mal. Mal was trying to get to her.

"Uh Selene, I need some coffee." Erin ordered, trying to get her away from Mal.

"Yes Miss Erin." Selene said going to get some for her.

Mal tries to grab Selene but Erin used her powers to glue him to the floor. He falls over as Selene walked off. Mal growled at Erin yelling, "What the heck is wrong with you?!"

"I'm evil remember?" Erin shrugged.

Cam let out a small sigh of relief. Mal was annoyed as he drums his fingers. In the kitchen, Selene got Erin's coffee how she liked it. She secretly took out the talisman she stole from Mal.

"Guys..." Selene whispered.

"Selene!" Chester, Svetlana, Vito, and Manitoba asked.

She shushed them in case Mal was near. She looked around just in case. She then turns to the necklace.

"How did you steal us?" Svetlana whispered.

"Hey I lived on the streets remember? Stealing is a piece of cake." Selene whispered.

Manitoba looked at the girl.

"Please be careful little roo." Manitoba said. "If he finds out he'll kill you."

"I doubt killing me will be on Mal's mind." Selene said not wanting to tell her family what Mal had tried.

"Aye yo, I maybe a knucklehead but I can tell something's wrong with yah." Vito said. "Just by your eyes."

Selene looked at her family.

"Please sweetie, we need to know what happen. We are the only family we have for you." Svetlana plead. "The only ones connected to Mike. So please."

"Big Sis, I don't wanna repeat it" Selene said to Svetlana as the only girl persona.

"Dangnabit, I know we're worried but if she said she doesn't wanna talk about it, then zip it!" Chester snapped.

The personas covered his mouth in case he was loud. Selene looked around to make sure.

"Selene, where's my mocha slash vanilla cream coffee?!" Erin called.

"I'm coming." Selene called.

Selene puts the talisman up, grabs the coffee, and walked off.
